10 More Toddler Travel Must-Haves

Traveling with toddlers isn’t for the faint of heart. Between snack demands, diaper changes, and unpredictable moods, you need gear that makes your life easier and helps avoid meltdowns along the way. After my first list of toddler must-haves, I realized there were even more items that truly saved us on the road. Here are 10 more toddler travel essentials that I wouldn’t leave home without. 1. SippyPal Sippy Cup Holder Strap Tether

I wish I had these from the moment we started using a stroller or high chair. Both my kiddos—especially my son—were throwers. They thought it was the funniest thing to launch cups and snack containers onto the ground. While their giggles were sweet, I was not a huge fan of stopping every few steps to pick everything up. These tethers keep cups, bottles, and containers secure so you can enjoy the laughter without the constant cleanup.

2. Swanoo Stroller Caddy Organizer

My stroller caddy was an absolute lifesaver, though we used a different one if I could go back I would pick the one in the link. I could toss in antibacterial wipes, extra pacis, hand sanitizer, napkins, snacks, chap stick—you name it—and it was all right at my fingertips. When you’re juggling kids, bags, and travel documents, having a caddy attached to your stroller means you’re not constantly digging through a giant diaper bag for the little things.

3. J.L. Childress Stroller Travel Bag

If I’m traveling with a stroller, I’m traveling with a stroller bag. Period. It has saved our stroller from so many unnecessary scratches and dings while being tossed around by baggage handlers. Bonus: we also stuff a few extra diapers inside the bag before checking it so we have a fresh stash waiting when we land.

4. Children’s Dye-Free Ibuprofen Chewable Tablets

We are a dye-free household. No judgment if you aren’t, but I’ve seen firsthand the difference in my kids without artificial dyes, so this dye-free ibuprofen is a staple in my diaper bag. It’s always better to be prepared in case of fevers or aches while traveling. (For infants, here’s the liquid dye-free version.)

5. Baby Sunscreen Stick by Boogie Block

Sunscreen is not something you want to be caught without. Nothing will ruin a trip faster than a toddler with a sunburn. I love this stick because it’s compact, mess-free, and easy to swipe on a wiggly toddler. I keep one in the diaper bag and another in the stroller caddy so it’s always on hand.

6. Tiny Twinkle Portable Diaper Changing Pad

A foldable changing pad that holds wipes and a few diapers was always a must-have in my diaper bag. It’s especially helpful on airplanes—you don’t want to lug the entire diaper bag down a narrow aisle just to change your little one. This compact pad keeps everything you need for a quick change all in one place.

7. Ubbi Retractable On-the-Go Bag Dispenser

Some messes are better thrown away. That’s why I love these disposable diaper bags. They’re perfect for dirty diapers, soiled clothes, or even car sickness emergencies when you just need to contain the smell and toss it. If you prefer a reusable option, the Tiny Twinkle Wet Bags are great for swimsuits or clothes that just need a wash later. I like having both on hand for different situations.

8. Bag Balm

This is my miracle product. Bag Balm works for diaper rashes, dry skin, irritation, and even doubles as the most effective lip mask I’ve ever used. My mom used it when my sister and I were little, and now I recommend it to all my friends. A small tin lasts forever and solves so many little problems while traveling.

9. Stroller Hooks

Don’t underestimate the power of a good stroller hook. These large carabiner clips let you hang diaper bags, backpacks, grocery bags, or even jackets from your stroller. When you’re managing toddlers, every free hand matters. They also help distribute weight so you’re not carrying everything on your shoulders.

10. First Aid Kit

Toddlers are adventurous, which means bumps, scrapes, and splinters are part of the deal. Having a compact first aid kit in your bag means you can quickly handle those little injuries without hunting for a pharmacy in a new city. Ours has come in handy on playgrounds, in airports, and even on hikes.

✨ Final Thoughts
These are the kinds of things that seem small until you’re in the middle of a trip and realize just how much they save your sanity. A little preparation goes a long way in making travel smoother for you and your toddler.
